The once-secret F-117 Nighthawk stealth fighter made its public debut at the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum. AFA’s journalists had an exclusive opportunity to cover its 2,254-mile journey from Lockheed Martin’s secretive Skunk Works compound in California to one of the most visited museums in Virginia—hitching a ride on the C-5M Super Galaxy that ferried the Nighthawk across the continent.
