A Message from the President

Friends,
May is National Military Appreciation Month and National Military Spouse Appreciation Month.
I grew up in an Air Force family. My dad fought in the Korean War and then Vietnam twice while I was growing up. He deployed many, many times while my mom always held down the fort at home. My wife Lisa’s story is similar: a fighter pilot dad who fought in Vietnam and Korea and made multiple deployments, while her mom managed the home front.
As for me, two tours in Korea and one in Iraq, plus all the deployments in the 1990s and 2000s, with Lisa raising our two sons at home and being the steady force we all needed.
Both of my sons are now Airmen, having joined the “family business.” My youngest son and his wife are Airmen in the same flying unit, which makes them not just Airmen but also both military spouses. I have seen the service and sacrifice of our military spouses since the day I was born, and their grit and tenacity never fail to amaze me. I hope you join me in appreciating all they do!
